All CMD Breeders listed on this page have been approved as members in good standing with the Colorado Mountain Dog Association®, and own dogs that have been approved as Breeding Animals based on the CMD breeder-dog approval process. While the CMDA® does its best to ensure our breeders are working towards common objectives and breeding within the standards determined by the CDMA®, we cannot offer any guarantees or warranties. Accordingly, the Colorado Mountain Dog Assocation® does not recommend or endorse any individual breeder, and we caution buyers to educate yourself, talk with sellers, and ensure you get all terms in writing. The CMDA® reserves the right to investigate any claims regarding approved breeders or members, and may cancel approval and listing at any time.

In order to be listed on the Colorado Mountain Dog Association® Approved Breeders page, breeders must be members of the CMDA®, have dogs approved and registered as “Breeders” or “Purebred” (Purebred classification can only be assigned to a 5th generation dog), and be in good standing with the CMDA®. The CMDA® reserves the right to remove any breeder listing from our site at any time if we feel the breeder is not fulfilling his agreed upon terms. Visit the links at the bottom of the page for additional information.
The CMDA® encourages all of its breeders to practice responsible breeding, based on the CMDA® Responsible Breeder Policy. We also encourage puppy buyers to familiarize yourself with this policy, so you can be an educated buyer and support responsible breeding practices. Buyers should also ask to see the CMDA® Registration Certificate of each parent dog, to ensure they are CMDA® Approved Breeders.
